Adventure
We seek the unfamiliar. Some of the best insights appear beyond the comfort of the known.
Oxtarn began with a love of the outdoors, practical skills and sharing knowledge. What started with outdoor activities developed into a mobile concept where nature, adventure and stories come together.
We do not simply want people to take part in something. We want them to learn to see differently — a map, a landscape, a group and sometimes themselves.
We come to you or work together to find the right location.
No two groups are the same, so every experience can be adapted to its purpose and participants.
The environment is not merely a backdrop; it is part of the experience.
Knowledge and adventure become more meaningful when they are shared.

Practical skills and experience that help you move forward, outdoors and beyond.
For nature, for one another and for the places we visit. We leave only traces.
Together we achieve more. Trust and cooperation are at the heart of the experience.
Be genuine and do things for a reason. Meaning matters more than unnecessary decoration.
Over time, a world of stories, symbols, music and characters has grown around Oxtarn. Not as decoration, but as another way to pass on ideas about nature, knowledge and adventure.
Some elements live within our Storyteller experiences. Others find their way into events, music, books and projects. Together they form another layer beneath the practical side of Oxtarn: a world where stories can carry knowledge.
Within the world of Oxtarn, the Skalds preserve stories, knowledge and memories. They do not simply tell what happened; they look for what a story can leave with the person listening.
Isårn Vayle is the Skald most often encountered within Oxtarn. Around the fire, in the darkness and during Storyteller experiences, he gives those stories a place within the wider world.
The Krùnskald is a recurring symbol within the world of Oxtarn. It represents the connection between story, memory and knowledge passed from one person to another.
The symbol appears where stories take on greater meaning and has become a recognisable mark within the growing world of Oxtarn.
The Field Crew consists of people who see the outdoors not merely as a workplace, but as an environment where knowledge is continually applied and shared.
Each instructor brings their own experience and specialisms. Together they form the people behind Oxtarn’s activities and stories.
